The most aerial seabird?


 

The Sooty Tern - Onychoprion fuscatus - is a large tern of the tropical oceans.

The wings and deeply forked tail are long, and it has dark black upperparts and white underparts. It has black legs and bill.

The average life span of this tern is 32 years.

The Sooty Tern spends 3 to 10 years without landing.
