The world's biggest wildlife Reserve straddles five countries – Angola, Botswana, Namibia, Zambia and Zimbabwe. Kaza is the world's biggest wildlife park. It is 15 times the size of the Serengeti yet few people working outside environmental circles will have heard of the Kavango - Zambezi Transfrontier Conservation Area, or Kaza for short.

Kaza was made a legal fact last month as Angola, Namibia, Botswana, Zambia and Zimbabwe signed up to the most ambitious scheme of its kind. The treaty signed in Luanda in August has created a reserve of 450,000 square kilometres, roughly the same area as Sweden.

The reserve has at least 3,000 plant species and is home to a vast array animals such as buffalo, zebra, sable, roan, bushbuck, impala, reedbuck, tsessebe, puku, red lechwe and sitatunga elephants, giraffe rhino,  hippo, crocodile, wild dogs, lions, leopards, cheetah and hyaena,

The new reserve is also home to over 600 bird species , across savannas, wetlands and woodlands, including Saddle-billed Stork and Carmine Bee-eaters.
