The Brown-backed Honeybird - Prodotiscus regulus - formerly known as Sharp-billed Honeyguide, also known as the Wahlberg's Honeybird or Wahlberg's Honeyguide, is a small, drab honeyguide with grey-brown upperparts and a sharp, slender bill. In flight shows white outer tail.

Usually only seen when calling from high in the canopy of a tree.

It mainly eats insects, doing most of its foraging by gleaning from foliage, twigs and bark while occasionally hawking prey aerially.

It is brood parasite, laying eggs in the nests of cisticolas and warblers. One to three eggs laid per host nest. Egg-laying season is from November to January, peaking in November. The nestling period is between 17 to 21 days.
