Aves Kwa Zulu-Natal Birding Tour / Safari / Adventure.

Aves Kwa Zulu-Natal tour covers Wakkerstroom with its rare highland birds and the rich birding of Zululand which has achieved legendary status in birding circles internationally. The tour includes four Important Bird Areas: -

  • Wakkerstroom.

  • Mkuze Game Reserve.

  • Greater St Lucia Wetland Park. [Ramsar site]

  • Hluhluwe-Mfolozi Park.

Wakkerstroom has been propelled into the International Birding limelight by grassland specials, such as the localized Rudd?s Lark, Botha?s Lark, and Yellow-breasted Pipit.

Mkuze Game Reserve is the richest birding area for its size in South Africa.

Greater St Lucia Wetland Park is one of the most important breeding areas for water birds in South Africa.

Hluluwe-Mfolozi Parkis large, almost 100,000 hectares, a ?Big Five? reserve, offering great birding. Birders should be rewarded with 100 + specie a day.
